TCL recently welcomed five new employees to the college.

Walt Gnann has joined the school of Business & Industrial Technology as an adjunct cybersecurity instructor.
A local business owner, Walt has 30 years of experience in IT from building and maintaining internet service providers to designing and implementing large wireless network infrastructures and managing network engineering and support teams.
He is a Beaufort native.

Surya Juttukonda has also joined the school of Business & Industrial Technology as an adjunct computer technology instructor.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Surya holds a master’s degree in computer science and has several years of experience in IT, business analysis and teaching. He currently works for BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina as a software developer and analyst.
Originally from India, Surya has called South Carolina home for the past few years. He enjoys road trips, exploring new cultures and spending time on creative projects.

Charles “Chuck” Loftin has joined the school of Arts & Sciences as a biology instructor.
Chuck has over 13 years of experience teaching college biology, anatomy and physiology.
For most of his career, he worked for Horry-Georgetown Technical College, in Myrtle Beach, and most recently worked for Limestone University, in Gaffney, South Carolina.
Originally from Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Chuck received his graduate and undergraduate degrees from East Carolina University, in Greenville, North Carolina.

Jeff Moser has joined the school of Business & Industrial Technology as an adjunct instructor.
Jeff currently works for an international software company as a senior cloud engineer. He has over 20 years of experience developing and supporting web-based applications.
Jeff discovered his passion for teaching as a motorcycle riding coach for Harley-Davidson.

Jae Newby has joined the Culinary Institute of the South at TCL as an adjunct baking instructor.
Jae has over 13 years of experience in the culinary industry and most recently worked for Dottie’s Market in Savannah as the café’s pastry chef.
Originally from the Norfolk, Virginia area, Jae moved to the Lowcountry in 2005 and served in the United States Army for ten years.
