Miles joins TCL’s Administrative Services Office

Serena Miles has joined TCL as its new Controller in the college’s Administrative Services Office.

Serena has more than 20 years of experience in the field of accounting and finance. She has worked for Coca-Cola Enterprises, The Pepsi Bottling Group and Washington, D.C.-based Novavax, Inc.

She most recently worked as the Director of Finance and Operations for the United Way of the Lowcountry and says she is “a proud supporter of the work they do to help citizens of Beaufort and Jasper County become self-sufficient.”

A graduate of Hampton University, in Hampton Virginia, Serena relocated to Beaufort along with her 11-year-old son in 2019 to be closer to her parents. She is a member of Leadership Beaufort Class of 2021 and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

HUB Helps offering virtual help sessions

The HUB is hosting LIVE virtual sessions called “HUB HELPS” on a number of topics to help students on their way to success. United Way awards Women United Scholarships to 4 local women

United Way of the Lowcountry’s Women United has awarded scholarships to four local women pursuing their higher education degrees.

Hampton students cook up career skills at TCL’s Culinary Arts Institute

Thanks to a partnership between a local high school and an area technical college, Hampton County students are cooking up new culinary skills and career opportunities in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
