A Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) is a specially trained police officer who analyzes and documents evidence at the scene of the crime.
Program graduates can expect to find employment in state and local law enforcement agencies, security companies, correctional facilities, and attorneys’ offices.
The Program
TCL’s 31-credit-hour certificate program provides you with the basic skills necessary to investigate the crime scene, conduct interviews and interrogations, and testify in court. You’ll learn proper techniques for collecting and analyzing a wide variety of evidence including fingerprints, trace material, blood spatter, and ballistics.
Courses include forensic and investigative documentation, criminalistics, impression evidence, and more. In addition, students receive hands-on practice through a variety of workshops and mock exercises.
