Technical College of the Lowcountry’s 25-credit-hour Medical Office Assistant program gives graduates the general medical and administrative skills needed for a job in health care administrative support.  The Medical Office Assistant Certificate program prepares students for the new and rapidly changing technology in today’s modern medical office.

The Program


Students can upgrade their skills in keyboarding, communication, receptionist tasks, billing procedures, office automation, basic bookkeeping, medical law and ethics, medical terminology, medical transcription and word processing.

The Medical Office Assistant program prepares you for immediate employment in a hospital, doctor’s office or other healthcare facility. In addition, the certificate program is a great refresher for those returning to the field or who need to upgrade and modernize their skills

    Technical College of the Lowcountry is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.     PROGRAM COST


    Tuition: 25 credits x $214 per credit = $5,350.
